Fleet was recently featured as a guest on Guy Macpherson's podcast, The Trauma Therapist Project. You can stream or download the whole episode here.
What Led to the Specialization of Trauma?
Fleet talks about being brought up in a household tainted by alcoholism and the constant threat of unsafety, and unpredictability. Fleet began an interest in spirituality and Buddhist meditation early on, though concurrent with that was involved in drugs which eventually led to 14 years in a federal prison. While in prison, Fleet’s meditation and spiritual practice became alive and he became engaged in teaching others about the benefits of meditation. These experiences formed the foundation of the work he would do when he got out.
